Botanical Name - Ocimum sanctum L. syn. Ocimum tenuiflorum L.

Also known as - Tulsi or Tulasi

Aroma - Fresh spicy and herbal with a slight clove-like aroma

Extraction - Steam distillation

Part of Plant - Leaves

Countries of Origin – India/France

Chemical Constituents – Eugenol, Beta caryophyllene, Alpha humulene

Cautions - Avoid in pregnancy. Possible skin sensitivity. May inhibit blood clotting

Uses – Warming, energising and uplifting. Everyday muscle aches. Clearing for chest and lungs. Research has shown that Holy Basil is a COX-2 inhibitor and possess anti-inflammatory, anti-pain and analgesic properties.

Mind & Spirit – Mentally cleansing and stimulating. Meditation.

Organic Certificate - This essential oil is certified organic by the Soil Association which means you can be sure that it has been produced to the highest ethical and environmental standards. The Soil Association's standards exceed the UK government's minimum requirements for organic products in many areas, but particularly in animal welfare, GM and the use of pesticides. Standards are constantly reviewed to ensure they deal with current issues.

Sizes 30ml, 50ml and 100ml are not packaged in the metal tins. Please store these larger sizes in fridge/cool dark area

Sizes 250ml to 500ml are bottled in industry-standard aluminium flasks

1kg sizes and above are packaged in industry-standard HDPE plastic
