We are very excited to launch this new certified organic and food grade Benzoin extract. It is rare to find a 100% certified organic & food grade pourable Benzoin oil. Suitable for both external and internal applications - and of course Soil Association certified. 

Please be aware that the natural state of this oil can be quite opaque due to the presence of benzoic acid molecules. 
The quality and properties of the oil are not affected by this.

Botanical Name - Caprylic/capric triglycerides, styrax tonkinensis

Aroma - Sweet, vanilla-like

Part of Plant - Tree resin/Coconut oil 
 
Extraction Method - Infusion of the resin in deodorised organic fractionated coconut oil 20:80
 
Country of Origin - Laos, Philippines/Sri Lanka

Chemical Constituents - Coniferyl benzoate, benzoic acid, benzyl benzoate

Uses - Soothing and warming. Benzoin helps soften and moisturise dry, chapped and hard skin.  It can help to form a protective layer on the skin's surface and blends well with many other skin oils, including lavender and rose. Also supportive to the respiratory and urinary systems. Comforting, strengthening and stabilising.

Organic Certificate - This essential oil is certified organic by the Soil Association which means you can be sure that it has been produced to the highest ethical and environmental standards. The Soil Association's standards exceed the UK government's minimum requirements for organic products in many areas, but particularly in animal welfare, GM and the use of pesticides. Standards are constantly reviewed to ensure they deal with current issues.

Sizes 30ml, 50ml and 100ml are not packaged in the metal tins. Please store these larger sizes in fridge/cool dark area

Sizes 250ml to 500ml are bottled in industry-standard aluminium flasks

1kg sizes and above are packaged in industry-standard HDPE plastic
