Botanical Name - Plukenetia volubilis

Aroma - Nutty

Extraction Method - Cold pressed

Country of Origin - Peru

Uses - Anti-inflammatory, soothing and skin healing. May be beneficial for treating scars, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, stretchmarks and depigmentation. As a hair treatment, it makes hair brighter and easier to comb. It may even prevent hair loss. Absorbs quickly. Particularly suitable for damaged, problem, dry or mature skin.

Sacha Inchi contains antioxidants and phenolic compounds that may reduce inflammation in your body and protect against chronic disease. Also contains important micro nutrients, such as phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and zinc. Some research suggests that sacha inchi oil could support healthy cholesterol levels.

Sacha Inchi oil has a very high content of the omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid which makes it comparable to flax seed. It also has a very high content of tocopherol (176–226 mg/100 g) which consists predominantly of gamma-Tocopherol (50%) and delta-Tocopherol.

Organic Certificate - This oil is certified organic by the Soil Association, which means you can be sure that it has been produced to the highest ethical and environmental standards. The Soil Association’s standards exceed the UK government's minimum requirements for organic products in many areas, but particularly in animal welfare, GM and the use of pesticides. Standards are constantly reviewed to ensure they deal with current issues.

All sizes above 100ml are bottled in industry-standard plastic or aluminium, dependent upon shipping location
