Country of Origin - Burkina Faso
Uses - Sesame Seed oil is a heavy oil rich in vitamin E and the minerals calcium, iron and zinc. It protects and beautifies the skin and is a popular base oil for aromatherapists due to its intensely nourishing and emollient properties. As it has a relatively strong aroma, it is best mixed with other lighter oils. In Ayurveda the soles of the feet may be massaged with Sesame oil before sleeping to ensure a restful night. It is also recommended for a daily full body self massage, known as abhyanga, for people who are weak, anxious and tend to be dry.
