Botanical Name - Carthamus tinctorius

Also known as - Thistle oil, Saffron thistle (not to be confused with saffron)

Extraction Method - Cold pressed

Aroma - Mild

Country of Origin - Netherlands/Germany

Uses - Expressed from the seeds of the Safflower, this oil is rich in essential fatty acids and is suitable for most skin types. Sometimes known as 'thistle oil', safflower absorbs well and helps to balance combination skins and reduce the size of the pores. Mild enough for babies and infants it makes a good addition to children's massage blends and nappy creams.

Organic Certificate - This oil is certified organic by the Soil Association, which means you can be sure that it has been produced to the highest ethical and environmental standards. The Soil Association’s standards exceed the UK government's minimum requirements for organic products in many areas, but particularly in animal welfare, GM and the use of pesticides. Standards are constantly reviewed to ensure they deal with current issues.

All sizes above 100ml are bottled in industry-standard plastic or aluminium, dependent upon shipping location
